Stress Less With Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Standard Glass Bottles

The Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Glass Baby Bottles offer a wonderful feeding experience with innovative vent technology. Dr Brown’s bottles use a patented 2-piece internal vent system for your baby’s comfort. This system creates positive-pressure flow for vacuum-free feeding that is similar to breastfeeding. The breast milk or formula flows freely without nipple collapse. As the baby feeds, air is channeled from the nipple collar through the vent system to the back of the bottle. Air never mixes with the breast milk or formula so oxidation is prevented, thereby maintaining essential vitamins such as C, A and E. The vent system eliminates air bubbles in the formula or milk, which helps to reduce feeding problems like colic, spit-up, burping and gas. Dr. Brown’s bottles are completely BPA, PVC, lead and phthalate free for your baby’s safety.

A great, sturdy bottle

As a new mom, I worry about everything I am giving to my baby and stress about stupid things like whether or not my daughter is going to develop nipple confusion because of this certain bottle. One thing that especially worried me was BPA being in bottles. I read somewhere that there could be BPA even in bottles that were marketed as BPA free. I immediately went on the hunt for glass bottles and this was the highest rated one. After trying it out for around two months now I can definitely see why. My favorite part is that they are glass so no need to worry about BPA! I love how sturdy these are. I have definitely dropped them more than once on my hardwood floors and I have yet to break one. I also love the fact that these are easy to clean. That is, I find them easy to clean. I have seen other reviewers complain about cleaning being difficult but I find the smooth glass surface makes it so that the milk just wipes right off.

Natural flow actually works for a newborn!

Because my little one is breastfed and supplemented with formula , she needs a slower flow of nipple because she sucks more than a completely bottle fed baby. I have had the worst time trying to find a nipple that is actually “slow flow” for her. This bottle paired with the preemie flow nipple is perfect for breastfed babies because it is an actual slow flow! In my opinion these bottles heat up better than a plastic bottle. Plus, going back to the BPA subject, heating a glass bottle won’t release any unwanted chemicals. I like to simply put the glass bottle under running water to heat it rather than use a warmer because I find that that works better for me.

A few flaws in these Dr. Brown’s bottles

My friend has these exact same bottles for her daughter and she loves them. However, she used a warmer after taking the bottle straight out of the fridge and the bottle broke. I think this is due to the glass being exposed to cold then hot in a very short period of time. This is not an issue for me because, as I mentioned previously, I prefer running water. If you are a fan of using a warmer and are not open to any other way of heating then this may not be the best bottle for you. Something that might be slightly inconvenient is the weight of these bottles. They are quite heavy and cumbersome to carry around all day. On days when I know I’ll be out all day I will pack a couple in my diaper bag and I swear they add ten pounds. I think that the problem will come in when my daughter gets old enough to hold her own bottle because it will be more difficult for her.

An awesome glass bottle

I think that these are definitely worth the price and they work extremely well for me and my family. These have definitely saved me a lot of stress and anxiety and they are still doing a great job to this day. I always bring these as my gift to baby showers and, to my knowledge, they are always a big hit. The way I see it, we can only protect our kids from so much and eventually we are going to have to give in but I want to make sure that I protect her as much as possible for as long as possible. I think that these help me do that even if it is just a little thing. I highly recommend checking these bottles out if you are looking for a glass bottle!

  1. First time mom my son is almost 2 weeks old I just love these bottles they are the only ones I use. I like how they are glass but you also have the option for plastic ones I prefer the glass ones though I like how the bottles come in the Option pink for girls and blue for boys. They are easy to wash, the bottles are lightweight and the nipple on the bottle is also really good at staying in my babies mouth.
