Spinning gears, five piano keys, three colorful rollers, three light-up shape sorters, three light-up buttons and a telephone handset offers endless fun that will stimulate your baby’s learning and develop their motor skills. The Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker keeps baby on track teaching shapes, colors, animals, music and more!

I bought a VTech sit-to-stand learning walker for my daughter when she turned nine months. She had started to get really interested in pulling herself up on the couch and really trying to get moving so I thought this would be perfect. I had heard a lot of mixed reviews on this walker. Some people said that it was perfect and they recommended it to everyone and some people said that they had tried it with their baby and it had gone too fast resulting in their baby falling or getting hurt. When I took it out of the packaging I noticed it had a knob with the numbers one, two, and three that controlled the speed. The lowest speed made it very difficult to move, which is perfect for babies who are just starting out.

My daughter loves walking with the sit-to-stand learning walker and after just a few months of using this she is almost ready to walk without it. It has really helped her develop her leg muscles and work on her motor skills. She loves the fun, bright-colored toys on the front panel. It detaches really easily as well so that we can take it with us in the car or I can put it in her Pack N’ Play with her and it will keep her entertained for hours. Her favorite toy is the phone because she loves to call her Grandma.

Unfortunately, it is quite hard to clean out all the little edges and cracks between the toys on the front panel so it can become a real chore if anything gets spilled on it. It also does not turn off by itself if it hasn’t been used in a while. So if my daughter is playing with it and leaves it playing music, it will continue to play music until I come around and turn it off which may drain the batteries. I have started using rechargeable batteries to cut down on costs.

VTech sit-to-stand learning walker is a great toy to help with development and I can see the improvement it has made in my daughters walking skills. It’s something that I am very happy I have purchased and will be using in the future or passing down to someone with kids. The quality tells me it will still be around if I need it for future children. I really recommend it after seeing the kind of results I had with my daughter.

  1. I couldn’t agree more with the review that’s been put up on this site. We received this as a gift for our daughters 1st birthday and it was an instant hit. She loved the front with the interactive music and farm animals. But she also learned to push and walk with it. I didn’t have any similar walking toys in the house and the adjustable speeds took the fear out of her losing control. I did find the speed adjustment worked better on the carpet then the hardwood. And before long she was putting around the house with it! I didn’t have issues with it continuing to play on its own after not being used for some time though. So all around excellent toy! I’ve recommended it and lent it to family.

  2. I love this product! I haven’t found anything even remotely similar that I have liked as much. I love that is works for varies stages of their growth, making it worth what you pay for it! It is great for working on various motor and cognitive skills and encourages learning through play. I am actually getting ready to purchase a second one to keep at my mom’s house for when we visit.

  3. After working at a daycare, I was able to experience many different babies utilize this VTech Walker to hone their walking abilities. This walker is easy to push around. I’ve seen babies push the walker from the front and the back – it’s versatile that way! I did note, however, that it is difficult for many to steer so a lot of babies could only walk a straight path with it.
I love the dual functionality of the walker. Being able to remove the face plate of the walker allows the children to play on the floor and improve their hand-eye coordination. The bright colors and musical sounds provide visual stimulation and interest as well.
I must agree with the review that the complexity of the face plate created a slight problem when cleaning. There are many crevices, but I found that spraying with a dilution of bleach water would do the trick to cleaning it.
Overall, the VTech Walker is a multi-purpose, good quality walker, built to last many learning bipeds!

  4. I got one used my daughter is the third baby to use it. Its durable and entertaining and my daughter is only nine months old and already almost walking alone!

  5. This product is good for when they first start walking, although if the floor is wooden or very smooth and the baby pushes forward hard they might slip from going too fast. The interaction board however is very entertaining. Loved the fact thay it can be detached as well. But a comment on the phone is since its not tied to the board in anyway, it easily gets lost. We had ours lost in so many places around the house.

  6. This is such an amazing learning toy. I was gifted this toy from a friend and it is definitely not a toy that sits in the back of the closet. I love that it can grow with baby from sitting and interacting with the faceplate to learning to take those first steps. My only critique is that the phone is not connected and gets misplaced frequently.

  7. The product states it’s for 9+ months; however, our 6 month old loves to stand up so I went ahead and bought this anyway thinking, if anything, we’ll have it when he’s old enough. I am so glad we purchased it. He can’t stand with it yet, of course, but it’s helped him to sit up on his own for much longer while he plays with the front panel of toys. He has a short attention span and get bored very quickly, but there’s so much to play with that I can sit him down with the boppy behind him and wash his bottles in peace!
